Wynton Marsalis

Wynton Marsalis is an internationally acclaimed musician, composer and bandleader, an educator, and a leading advocate of American culture. Managing and Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC), Wynton was instrumental in its establishment and the development of JALC's robust educational programming. Wynton has won nine Grammy Awards®, is the only artist ever to win Grammy Awards® for both jazz and classical records in the same year and the only artist ever to win Grammy Awards® in five consecutive years. Wynton was the first jazz musician to win the Pulitzer Prize in Music in 1997; he has been recognized for his excellent musicianship and poignant contributions to American culture as a 2021 inductee into the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Wynton joined the Board of the Benedetti Foundation in September 2020.
