Tim Cook
Director of Development
Inspired by a belief in the power of the arts to create meaningful social change, Tim has built an extensive career in fundraising and leadership across the cultural and charitable sectors. He studied at Queen Mary University of London and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before joining the development team at the De La Warr Pavilion on the south coast of England.
Since then, he has held senior fundraising and management roles at leading arts organisations including Somerset House, Sadler's Wells, One Dance UK and Music Masters, where he led an ambitious development strategy that delivered consecutive years of record income growth. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Made In Hackney, helping to lead the organisation’s mission to tackle food injustice, and promote healthier, more sustainable living. Across his career, he has specialised in building income to expand access, participation and organisational impact.
Alongside this, Tim currently serves on the board of Pegasus Opera Company, where he chairs the Development Committee. He is also a published playwright and the founder of a multi-award-winning theatre company established to champion writers from underrepresented communities. Through his creative practice and mentoring work, he has supported hundreds of emerging artists and writers across the UK.
Tim is passionate about widening access to high-quality arts education and is driven by the Foundation’s mission to unite, inspire and educate through music.
