Sarah McMahon Cello

Irish cellist Sarah McMahon moved to London in 1995, graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in 2001.

Sarah is passionate about chamber music and historical performance and is a founder member of the Callino String Quartet, as well as principal cellist with the Academy of Ancient Music and the Irish Baroque Orchestra. She is also regularly invited to play as guest principal cellist with Dunedin Consort, Arcangelo, The English Concert, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, London Contemporary Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Aurora Orchestra.

Sarah is professor of historical cello at the Royal College of Music and Berwick Academy at the University of Oregon.
