Sally Anne Anderson

Sally Anne is a violinist with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra as well as a lead musician for their music education program, In Harmony Liverpool. Specialising in group string teaching, Sally Anne currently teaches over 200 children each week.

As co-founder of The Till Project Sally Anne is enthusiastic about developing ways for teaching a healthy technique to big groups of string players using the knowledge she has gained from studying with Sophie Till. Sally Anne has created many resources to support her style of teaching including two series of books, ‘Tune Up!’ and ‘Sticks & Blobs’.

Sally Anne is a violin tutor for the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain and teaches at Chetham’s School of Music. Priory Farm Music Camp is an annual highlight, Sally Anne as Musical Director, especially enjoys conducting the camp orchestra using techniques that allow the young people to feel the music from the inside out.

Sally Anne studied with Diana Cummings at the Royal Academy of Music, London.
