MEET THE LEAD AMBASSADORS

Working alongside the Tutors in your mentor group sessions are a wonderful group of Lead Ambassadors, who were Ambassadors in 2022 and 2023. They’re very familiar with how sessions are run, and what is expected of Ambassadors at sessions both in-person and online. They are here to support you and answer any questions you may have.

“There are so many wonderful sessions and talks, but also the Foundation is so understanding about conflicts! We are all musicians and understand how busy life gets, so try to go to as many sessions as possible, but also don’t feel bad if you need to miss one and watch a recording. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the team for clarification on tasks or the schedule. Please reach out to us (your Lead Ambassador) or anyone you feel safe speaking to. I have never had a bad experience talking to anyone that is a part of the Foundation whether it’s related to Benedetti or just general life advice. Everyone is so welcoming and non judgmental!”

“Hello everyone! If I could share a few pieces of advice for this year it would be to get to know your peers in your mentor sessions - we’re given the opportunity to meet people from different countries and, even if it’s through Zoom, Instagram, etc., try to get to know them better and connect. Don’t be afraid to ask! Do not be afraid to be yourself! And finally, keep record of every training and mentor session you attend, taking notes is always a good habit to have!”

  • Emma Downes

“Welcome to the Ambassador Programme. All I can say is immerse yourself as fully as possible! I’m sure everyone has told you to make the most of all the opportunities you’ll have this year, but it’s really the best advice I can give. Attend the zoom sessions in real time if you can - in my experience it’s much more rewarding and trust that you can be a brilliant Ambassador!”

  • Catherine Duncan

“First of all, huge congratulations on being accepted onto the programme. You are in for a wonderful time! Here are a few tips from me that I hope you will find helpful this year. Don’t be shy when it comes to sharing your amazing work on social media! The programme really supports you with this and it’s worth chatting about it in mentor sessions if you are not hugely confident about having a public social media presence. Most of all, enjoy every moment! ”

  • Ines Mayhew-Begg

“My top tips would be to try to stay on top of deadlines as much as possible and dedicate a small amount of time each week to attend to the workload. Don’t be afraid to get started on projects, be active and find work and experience opportunities. Putting the inspiration and advice that you gain from the programme into practice is the best way to learn. Your voice is worthy of being heard no matter what stage you’re at in your music journey. Be open to learning from not only your mentors but each other.”

  • Isabella Gonzalez-Diaz

“My words of advice to you all would be to immerse yourself with every resource given to you and have a notepad so you can remember key information shared during the sessions! We’re all just a big family who share the same passion - sign yourself up for every opportunity — it’s worth it!”

  • Eleanor Moore

“The Benedetti Ambassador programme is a wonderfully supportive, nurturing community in which to share ideas and learn from each other. My advice would be to be proactive and engage fully with the programme in all its capacities, allowing yourself to be creative and explore areas that are new to you, as in doing so, you will discover your own niche within music education. Take up any opportunities that are offered to you and don’t be afraid to ask any questions.”

  • Jennifer Moss

“Welcome to the new cohort! This year you will receive tons of opportunities and a lot of information and inspiration! There's no pressure to put it all straight into action; aim to take on one thing from every session and keep a record of the rest to refer to later. Being an Ambassador definitely demands a time-commitment and it is really worth being all-in, so put all those dates in the diary right away - the Google Calendar sync is really useful.”
