Laetitia Pannetier Violin

Laetitia Pannetier is a French-Indonesian violinist based in Glasgow. She is a firm believer in Music being a universal language. Growing up, she travelled and lived with her family in many countries such as Malaysia, China, Egypt, Algeria and Nigeria, thanks to her parents’ work. Music was the only stable language the family really knew. She enjoys learning from different cultures and considers herself a ‘Citizen of the World’ and ‘Adult Third Culture Kid’ having lived in Indonesia and France each for only up to 2 years. ‘Where is her hometown?’, you may ask - Where her loved ones and music are.

Thanks to travelling, she attended various summer music programs, such as New York Summer Music Festival, Ingenium Academy, Gospel Philharmonic Experience, and Music Academy International. There, along with the skills she gained from private teachers and community orchestra participation during the academic years, she acquired diverse cultural, musical techniques and styles from fellow musicians and teachers.

Laetitia completed her Bachelor of Music in July 2020 and Masters of Music in Violin Performance in July 2022 at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, studying violin under William Chandler from BBC Concert Orchestra and viola under Duncan Ferguson.

Laetitia is an active freelancer currently based in Glasgow, Scotland. She is a Lead Instrumental Ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation. She was previously a player within the Nevis Ensemble. She has recently started working with Townbreak Dementia Services, providing music workshops in their sessions. Laetitia enjoys collaborating and connecting with other musicians from all over the world. Her sister and herself often play together as Pannetier Sisters, showcasing music from the world.
