Ksenia Lukyanova Violin

Born in Russia in 2001, Ksenia studied at the Rostov College of Art before moving to the UK, where she is currently studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Andrea Gajic.

Auditioning for the conservatoire in 2020, Ksenia was awarded full scholarship to attend the institution as part of the classical string department.

Ksenia has started to play violin at the age of 4 and had her first debut with Rostov State Symphony orchestra at the age of 12. She was also a soloist in the violin ensemble “Cantilena” lead by her teacher Tamara Makeeva.

Throughout her career, Ksenia has been awarded at international and Russian competitions for both solo and chamber performances. Her orchestra experience includes working with conductors like Matthew Taylor, Tim Redmond, Tom Hammond, Michael Seal, Karin Hendrickson.

Ksenia explores various styles of repertoire including contemporary music and collaborations with musicians across genres. In February 2022 she took part in the Celtic Connections festival as a member of GRIT orchestra lead by Greg Lawson.
