Katie Lodge Trumpet

Katie Lodge is a London-based freelance trumpeter with extensive recording, broadcast, and concert experience as a chamber musician, soloist, and orchestral player.

She has recorded sessions for Hollywood soundtracks at AIR and RAK studios, regularly broadcasts with the BBC Concert Orchestra, and recently performed a series of trumpet solos broadcast on BBC R3 and BBC R4’s as part of Wren’s 400th anniversary. As a keen natural trumpet player, she has appeared as principal with Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and with Ensemble Alia Mens (France) and Manchester Baroque. Orchestral work includes the London Mozart Players, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Chineke! Orchestra and Southbank Sinfonia. Katie is a member of Solus Ensemble and recently performed in the acclaimed debut of Noah Max’s A Child in Striped Pyjamas. She is a highly trained workshop leader, frequently working with the Musicians' Company, OAE Education department and Southbank Sinfonia to create fun, joyful music sessions.
