Julia Chetverhova Violin

Born in 1993, Julia Chetverhova received her first violin lessons at age 7. In 2010, she entered Stravinsky Volyn State College of Culture and Arts (Lutsk, Ukraine). Since then, she’s become a laureate and a winner of many national and international junior competitions, performing solo violin with orchestra in many venues of her hometown Lutsk and beyond. In 2012, she began to study in the class of Prof. Taras Yaropud at National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music (Kyiv, Ukraine), working on deepening her musical expression and improving her technical mastery. In 2018, Julia Chetvergova received her master’s degree with honours, during which she studied with Prof. Serhiy Shott. At the time of her studies in Kyiv conservatoire, she enriched her musical experience by taking masterclasses with such outstanding violinists and pedagogues such as Christoph Schickedanz, Ray Chen, Sarah Chang, Andrej Bielow, Anatoliy Bazhenov. In 2015, she participated in the youth symphony orchestra “Orkester Norden”. Apart from training at the student academy orchestra, she regularly played in leading professional orchestras in Kyiv such as “Metropolis”, “Kyiv Symphony and Pops”, National Chamber Ensemble " Kyiv Soloists". Julia Chetvergova often performed violin solo and chamber music at such famous venues such as St. Nicholas Cathedral, Kyiv Opera Theatre, National Small Dramatic Theatre, Actor's House. In 2017, Julia Chetvergova moved to London where she has focused predominantly on family and motherhood, together with trying to balance with her music career aspirations. As a result, she has grown more interested in teaching. In 2021, she completed her Suzuki teaching training Level 1 course as well as enjoying freelance violinist projects and in 2022 Julia was privileged to be selected to become a Benedetti Foundation Instrumental Ambassador. Julia's ambition is to excel in teaching and to play great music.
