Erin Vinter Viola

Erin is a violist from Nottingham, currently in her second year at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where she studies Viola with Lucy Nolan. Erin is a keen chamber musician and has played with many orchestras and chamber ensembles, most recently performing across the Midlands with the International Film Orchestra and as a guest soloist in the inaugural concert of the Trent Chamber Orchestra. Erin played in the launch concert for the Benedetti Foundation as well as the Benedetti Foundation Orchestra’s Decca Classics recording of Mascagni’s Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana in 2019. Erin attended many virtual Benedetti sessions during the lockdown in 2020 and is delighted to have joined the Ambassador team in 2023, having been so inspired by the Foundation’s work. Erin spent many years playing with the Oasby Music Group in Lincolnshire, led by the Foundation’s director and Erin’s teacher for many years, Laura Gardiner, and has won many awards for chamber music at the Grantham Music Festival. She was part of a trio who were the only state school-educated group to win through to the finals of the Pro Corda national competition in 2018.
