Eilidh Paterson Violin

Eilidh Paterson is a violinist, traditional fiddle player and social musician from Glasgow, Scotland. Having started playing the violin at the age of 5, Eilidh has spent the majority of her life sharing traditional Scottish and Irish music with her family and friends. With a passion for sharing music socially, Eilidh began volunteering as a fiddle tutor with St James the Great Comhaltas branch, a traditional Irish music organisation based in Glasgow. Here, she taught alongside many humbly inspiring musicians from whom she learned the importance of devoting herself to sharing traditional music among the community. Eilidh has also volunteered with Community Lifestyles as part of a team of music workshop leaders. With her love of sharing music within communities, Eilidh travelled to Cluis, France to join a rural community theatre organisation called Le Manteau d’Arlequin, and has also travelled within the UK and Ireland with award-winning traditional music ensembles.
