Anya Blue Robins Violin

Anya Blue Robins was born in Guernsey, and is currently studying violin at the Royal College of Music, London. In 2015, Anya participated in the National Childrens’ Orchestra of Great Britain, and the same year, was given a scholarship to study at the Purcell school for Young Musicians, where she continued her studies with violinist Tony Cucchiara, and pianist Caterina Grewe.

During Anya’s time at Purcell, she was given opportunities to play in venues including Cadogan Hall, Blackheath Halls, St Martins in the Field, St James Piccadilly and St John Smith Square, just to name but a few. Anya led the Purcell chamber orchestra at the Hatfield House Chamber Festival, and more recently, played in the acclaimed Deal Festival. In 2020, Anya played the Mozart violin concerto No 3 with the Burwash Chamber Orchestra. She joined the outreach programme at Purcell, where she visited Istanbul to perform with the Turkish National Youth Philharmonic. Anya has passed her ARSM piano performance qualification with distinction. 

Anya is currently in her second year at the RCM and studies violin with Gabrielle Lester. She has been given masterclasses by Eszther Haffner, and Alina Ibragimova, and frequently records at Abbey Road studios and Angel studios. Anya is excited to be a Continuing Ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation.
