Annabel Stevens Violin

Annabel Stevens is a violinist from Nottingham, currently studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Andrea Gajic. This is Annabel’s second year on the Ambassador Programme at the Foundation, having previously attended sessions as a participant online and performed as part of the Benedetti Foundation Orchestra for their inaugural concert and recording with DECCA in 2019. Since joining the programme, Annabel has taken up various teaching roles in the Junior and Early Years departments at the RCS and is expanding her studio of adult learners.

As a performer, Annabel enjoys chamber and orchestral playing and she is excited to have been selected this year as a scholar of the Cantilena Festival, a chamber music concert series showcasing a range of string ensemble repertoire, and held on the Scottish island, Islay. Earlier this year, Annabel also appeared as the soloist for the newly formed Trent Chamber Orchestra in their series of lunchtime concerts, held in her local community in Rushcliffe, and in 2020, she led the Oasby Music Group string ensemble on a tour to Holland, which then went on to win the overall award at the Grantham Music Festival later that year.

In the time between her second and third years at the RCS, Annabel is looking forward to some upcoming projects, including a performance at the 2023 Edinburgh International Festival with the GRIT orchestra and continuing to develop her skills as an educator at the Mull Music Makers Fiddle Week this summer
