Anna Jackman Straw
Development Officer

Anna joined the Benedetti Foundation in August 2023 as Development Officer, joining Tara and the wider team to further the fundraising efforts of the Foundation and support its many enriching musical education programmes.

Before joining the team, Anna worked at various arts organisations across the country including the Barbican, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and most recently, The Story Museum in Oxford. Here she worked across both the Fundraising and Marketing teams as well as in events planning and front of house.

Anna studied Music at St Catherine's College, The University of Oxford where she graduated in 2022. During her time at university, Anna studied classical saxophone, taking lessons at the Royal Academy of Music, and also ran a funk band which she still plays in. Anna enjoyed getting involved in Oxford's music scene, directing her college choir and singing in Trinity College Chapel Choir, as well as playing in musicals and various other ensembles. In 2021 she was awarded the Fernandes prize for musical contribution to her college.

In her spare time, Anna loves going for long dog walks in Ilkley and across the Yorkshire Dales where she grew up.
