Alice Martin Soprano

Alice Martin is a Soprano and Music Educator, passionate about sharing music with others. She joined the Benedetti Foundation this year as a Creative Learning Ambassador, and is keen to develop her practice as an educator.

As a Music graduate from the University of Birmingham, Alice currently works as a Music Assistant at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe, leading instrumental and choral ensembles, and supporting academic work and music administration. Alice also volunteers at Alfriston school, a specialist SEND school, delivering weekly vocal workshops, and she also teaches singing, flute, piano, and accompanies a choir.

Alice is a classically-trained Soprano; her vocal versatility enables her to delve into a variety ofgenres. She has regular freelance singing work, with recent solo engagements including Chilcott’s Requiem, Handel’s Dixit Dominus(Ryedale Festival), and contemporary opera premiere Seven Ways to Wait (Arcola Theatre).She has sung with high profile groups including The Swingles and London Handel Singers, and features in recordings for NYCGB Digital and Sony.

Overall, Alice loves to communicateand bring people together through music making, having organised two fundraising concerts, and frequent solo recitals, through which she aims to create impactful musical experiencesfor all.
