Abbi Telford Clarinet

“Music to me is an extension of who we are, to express oneself wholeheartedly using music is fantastic, regardless of the shape/form or the medium in which its used. The connection music fosters between peoples is worth so much and I strive to always have a part in that.”

A blossoming musician and singer from Ireland full of passion and warmth, Abbi (24) has spent her time as a current university student discovering music to the fullest, participating in whatever opportunities present themselves. Although she had music tutoring, a lack of opportunity in her early years has given Abbi the fervour to determinedly pursue music.

Abbi is about to undertake her final year in Music Performance majoring on the Clarinet at Huddersfield University, having just finished a placement year as a Music Administrator with The People’s Orchestra. Fostering a love of games, which she expressed through her Final Year Project where she utilised original story elements and concept art through music, one of her future goals is to study a Master’s degree in Japan fascinated by the interconnecting areas of art, literature and music.
