This will be a discussion for guardians and teachers about how to guide and educate young artists through their musical development amidst the pressure of the ever-growing trend of achievement-based education and parenting. In a world which is more and more visible online and giving us constant signals to compare, collect awards, and aim for prizes and concert opportunities, it is becoming increasingly difficult to stay on a path of education for the whole child in music. 

In this session participants will be joined by Amy Beth Horman and Rachel Cooper to collectively strengthen our resolve as educators and guardians to educate the whole child for the betterment of their human development, spirit, and overall health while endeavouring to remain ambitious and strategic for those who choose to pursue music.
