ADULT STRING PLAYERS IN PERSON ‘BENEDETTI SESSIONS’ DAY

GLASGOW (25 MAY), STAFFORD (8 JUNE) AND LONDON (21 JULY) - REGISTRATION OPEN

GLASGOW: SATURDAY 25 MAY, 11am-4pm

Studio 1, City Halls, 75 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1NQ

Adult string players (violin, viola, cello and double bass) are invited to join The Benedetti Foundation for our Benedetti Sessions Day for Adult String Players in person in Glasgow.

Join the Foundation’s Tutors including Alex Laing, Andrea Gajic and Naomi Pavri as we explore two pieces of music: Holst’s St Paul’s Suite Movement 1 and a brand new arrangement for The Benedetti Foundation of Rachmaninov’s Adagio from Symphony No. 2

During the day, we will be focusing on expression, sound production, freedom in playing, story telling, understanding the context of the music and delving deep into specific technical challenges in upper and lower strings groups.

You will be sent materials to prepare in advance of the sessions and the day will finish with a play through all together.

This day would be most suitable for players working at Intermediate and Advanced level (recommended Grade 4/5+).

Cost: £30 - FULL Bursaries are available (please tick the box on the sign up form)

Register by Friday 10 May 2024. Places are limited and the form will close when all spaces are filled.

We rely solely on donations to carry out our work and are very grateful to anyone who is in a position to make an additional donation towards the cost of the workshops. Thank you!
