

Teaching Sessions: Energise, Innovate, Inspire
The Teaching Sessions: Energise, Innovate, Inspire are a professional development opportunity for both instrumental and classroom teachers (including those training to be teachers).
Working in a small group of 15-20 teachers, these sessions are designed to focus on building and developing a specific area of your teaching.
The sessions take place over three weeks, these sessions should be attended live. Teachers will be awarded a certificate to celebrate the training you have undertaken.

Teaching Intermediate Violin
Monday 1, 8 and 15 November
7.30 - 8.30 pm UK Time
During these three sessions, teachers will work in a small group led by violin teacher Alex Laing to develop your skills for supporting your intermediate violin students.
Throughout the sessions, we will explore topics including posture, left and right-hand set up and development, introducing vibrato and shifting, developing bowing technique, selecting repertoire and studies to support development and there will be plenty of time for questions.
These sessions would be suitable for teachers with any level of experience. We would recommend you are actively teaching for these sessions to be of greatest benefit to you.

Group String Teaching
Tuesday 11, 18 and 25 January 2022
7-8pm UK Time
Throughout the sessions, we will discuss and explore strategies, ideas and activities to support group teaching including posture and set up, games and activities, techniques for working with all string instruments in one space, strategies for motivation, establishing routines, exercises and repertoire for beginner players, building relationships with other members of staff, the teaching environment and there will be plenty of time for questions.
These sessions would be suitable for teachers with any level of experience.

Teaching Beginner Violin
Thursday 20, 27 January and 3 February
7.30 - 8.30 pm UK Time
Throughout the sessions, we will explore early development, posture and set up, strategies for motivation, establishing practise routines, exercises and repertoire for beginner players, relationships with parents/carers and there will be plenty of time for questions.
These sessions would be suitable for teachers with any level of experience. We would recommend you are actively teaching beginners for these sessions to be of greatest benefit to you.
