Teaching Sessions: Energise, Innovate, Inspire

The Teaching Sessions: Energise, Innovate, Inspire are a new professional development opportunity beginning in 2021 for both instrumental and classroom teachers (including those training to be teachers). Taking place over three weeks, and working in a small group of 15-20 teachers, these sessions are designed to focus on building and developing a specific area of your teaching. At the end of the training sessions, you may opt to have a 20-30 minute online observed session (there is a small additional fee for this) and to receive feedback on your teaching. Teachers will be awarded a certificate to celebrate the training you have undertaken.

Teaching Beginner Violin

Monday 12, 19 and April - SOLD OUT

NEW DATES - Monday 10, 17

and 24 May

7.30-8.30pm GMT (all sessions should be attended live)

During these three sessions, teachers will work in a small group led by violin teacher Rachel Cooper to develop your skills for teaching beginner violinists. Throughout the sessions, we will explore early development, posture and set up, strategies for motivation, establishing practise routines, exercises and repertoire for beginner players, relationships with parents/carers and there will be plenty of time for questions.

These sessions would be suitable for teachers with any level of experience. We would recommend you are actively teaching beginners for these sessions to be of greatest benefit to you.
