Shannon-Latoyah joined the Benedetti Foundation as an Administrator in 2022. Her role is to support the day-to-day administration of the Foundation working closely with the Foundation Director, Assistant to the Foundation Directors and the wider team. Shannon is passionate about the values and missions of the Benedetti Foundation and is delighted to be part of such a wonderful organisation.

Working in music education is something Shannon has always loved and taken pride in. She has worked in roles at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire of Music, Royal College of Music, Philharmonia Orchestra and The Unicorn Theatre. Her focus has always been to diversify classical music, foster creativity and support individuals that are disadvantaged, underrepresented and unable to access music education.

Shannon studied the Classical Guitar and Baroque Guitar at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire of Music followed by a masters at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She is enthusiastic about New Music, Improvisation and Experimental Music and she continues to perform professionally as a soloist and interdisciplinary artist. In 2021 she became a Trinity Laban Ignite awardee which enabled her to use her music to create safe spaces through the use of meditation, experimental music, music therapy and trauma-informed practice for marginalised and underrepresented communities.
