Tara joined the Benedetti Foundation as Development Manager in May 2022. In this role, Tara works closely with the Foundation Director, Fundraising Committee and wider team to grow the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, supporting its many wide-ranging life-enhancing music education programmes in the UK and across the world.

Having previously worked in roles at the London Symphony Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain, National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and Harrogate International Festivals, Tara has extensive arts administration experience. Her roles at these organisations have varied, incorporating fundraising, marketing, events management, music education support and general administration. Her last role focused primarily on raising funds to support music education and community projects throughout London.

Tara studied clarinet at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music before embarking upon a Music Degree at King’s College, University of Cambridge, where she graduated with a BA in 2018. At Cambridge, Tara was very present within the music scene as both a clarinettist and singer. She was President of the King’s College Music Society, under the late Sir Stephen Cleobury, as well as Tours & Admin Manager for King’s Voices, headed up by Ben Parry. She won the Jasper Ridley Prize for Devotion to Music at King’s College in 2018. She continues to play, sing and teach music in her spare time.

Born in the beautiful North Yorkshire, when not engaging in arts-related activities, Tara enjoys escaping to the countryside for long hikes and gorgeous scenery.
